While working at a print shop as a graphic designer, I assisted a client who needed flyers printed for an upcoming event at the Moda Center in Portland.

The client was in a pinch and needed a same-day design, print, and delivery, which our shop was more than happy to help out with. They sent over source images & text, and had particular requests for the flyer to be in a portrait orientation, with “Disney On Ice - Mickey’s Search Party” centered at the top.

Usually, this is easy enough; however, the client only had horizontal photos to choose from, and the title file was on a colored background rather than transparent. Yet, with some photo editing and creative placement, I was able to create a design that fulfilled all the requirements the client had.

Within just a couple of hours of receiving the job, I had it sent off for approval, and with a fast reply, we were able to have the fliers flying off the presses, packaged up, and heading towards our client in no time.
